Thank you for your interest in Apple Valley Montessori School. We have been called a 'well-kept secret' and a 'gem of a school' by parents who have chosen to have their children attend AVMS. We welcome your visit and ask that you read the following to better understand how Admissions works at AVMS. You may also want to read the FAQ and Is Montessori For You? part of our website.

We begin the admissions process for September enrollment the prior November.

Children should be the following ages for admission:

18 months - 2 years for Toddler (Admission from 18 months - 2 years 8 months)

3 years for Primary (3-6 year olds) Children's House (Admission at age 3 only)

7 - 11 years for Elementary (Admission from age 7)

Children transferring from other accredited Montessori schools and siblings of current students are given priority.

Transfers from accredited Montessori schools are welcome at any age. Our Admission Process is a 3-step process as follows:

• Parents make appointment to visit AVMS without their child.

Please call our Admissions staff to schedule a time for your visit at 978-287-4000.

The meetings are held in the morning and generally last between 60-90 minutes and
include a classroom observation.

• Once parent visit is completed, submit an application and developmental history.

* The child is scheduled to visits AVMS with parents.Child and parent returns to AVMS. Child visits classroom in session while parents meet with Admissions Staff and Head of School.

The admissions form should be signed by both parents and include a $100 application fee. An Massachusetts Early Education and Care Developmental History Form is required of all applicants and must accompany the application.
