- Founded by the Newton Family in 1983. Audrey Newton is still our Founding Directress.
- Six Head Teachers all with Bachelor's Degrees in addition to AMI Certificate leading to a Master's Degree. Other teachers and staff all with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
- Five of our faculty attended Montessori schools themselves as students.
- Students attending AVMS come from 19 different towns.
